The Projects module allows you to arrange and track your organisation’s projects by breaking work down into tasks, allocating resources, and monitoring progress. A project can be visualised as a Gantt chart or in a project grid view.
Name: the project name. Required.
Status: the overall state of the project: Draft, In Review, or Published.
Start Date / End Date: the planned start and end dates for the project. Both are required.
Priority: the importance of the project: Low, Medium, or High.
Description: a summary of the project’s purpose and scope.
Override Business Hours: when checked, business hours rules are not applied when calculating project task durations.
Total Estimated Effort / Total Actual Effort: read-only totals calculated from all project tasks, showing planned versus actual hours spent.
Projects can be related to Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, Cases, and other records. Associations are managed from the sub-panels within the Relationships section of the project’s Detail View.
