Notes & Attachments

Overview

The Notes module in SuiteCRM can be used to keep a record of any comments, observations or explanations that a User may have relating internally to their organisation or relating to another SuiteCRM record such as an Account, Contact, Lead or many more. Notes are also used to keep record of interactions with Customers regarding Cases and Bugs.

Note Actions

Access Note actions from the module menu:

  • Create Note or Attachment – Opens a form to create a new Note record.

  • View Notes – Redirects to the List View for searching and listing Note records.

Creating a Note

Navigate to the Notes module and select "Create Note" from the Actions menu.

Fields Overview

  • Subject - Subject of the note

  • Assigned To - User responsible for the document

  • Related To - The Parent record the note is related to (Account, Contact, Lead, etc.)

  • Contact - The Contact associated with the note (if applicable). This field will dynamically hide if the Related To is Contacts.

  • Note - Note Content

  • Attachment - The file attached to the note (if applicable)
